Pampered Mama Use #3: CJ's Mini Facial

Posted by Bobbie on

Your face.

It’s the first thing people see when they look at you. It’s where you show off your smile, and where your little ones place their precious kisses.

Here I am the end of another long day, ready to wash the day away and get some much-needed rest. You know the feeling, right? However, there is no reason that a tired mom’s bedtime routine has to be a rushed, rude attempt to scrape the residue of the day away before diving under the sheets to let sleep hit you like a truck.

I like to use my “bedtime routine” as a mini spa experience.

There are all kinds of ways to get your face clean – products, chemicals, gadgets, strips and masks. As a busy mom, I don't have it in me by night time to mess with a complicated regimen, and I'm guessing that many of you can relate. Here is my quick, natural routine that will leave you feeling clean and relaxed, ready to fall asleep peacefully –or start your day on the right foot if this is done in the morning!

CJ's Carcass Cleaner
Pampered Mama Use #3
CJ's Mini Facial

First of all, remove eye makeup with CJ’s BUTTer® Spritz. I recommend Unscented, to avoid irritation. Simply spray a little onto your fingertips, then rub onto the eye area in a small, circular motion. Wipe away with a clean cloth or facial tissue, and Voila! Your eye makeup is off without scrubbing or damaging sensitive skin.

Next, wash your face with CJ’s BUTTer® Carcass Cleaner. I highly recommend the Lavender & Tea Tree scent; not only is the Lavender essential oil naturally relaxing and soothing, but the combination of Lavender and Tea Tree essential oils is the best thing for complexion! Carcass cleaner feels amazing – it is a liquid soap with a foamer pump, so when you dispense it into your hands, you get a thick, rich foam that feels absolutely amazing!

The natural cleansing agents in Carcass Cleaner are tough enough to get all the dirt and makeup off of your skin. The glorious moisturizers give your skin the moisture and healing that is needs every day! So basically what happens here is, CJ’s Carcass Cleaner will clean out all the yucky gunk from your face and pores, and replace it with natural, healing hydration.

There is no need to use moisturizers on your face after washing with CJ’s Carcass Cleaner since it has the moisturizers in it. However, if you have extremely dry skin, wrinkles, eczema or psoriasis, you may want to apply a thin layer of CJ’s BUTTer® Original Shea Butter Balm after your face dries.

This routine works on all skin types – even those with oily, acne-prone skin like mine! I used to be afraid to use anything with oil on my face; the truth is, though, that if you put the right kind of moisture on your face, your skin will produce less oils as it has the clean, natural moisturizers it needs.

For even better results, apply CJ’s Lip Balm to moisturize lips while you sleep!

After this 3 minute routine, your face will feel clean and refreshed – not to mention smooth and healthy! I like to do this full routine at night before bed, then a quick wash with CJ’s Carcass Cleaner in the morning.
