Multiple Product Orders

For a multiple product order, we will make every attempt to ship all products contained in the order at the same time. Products that are unavailable at the time of shipping will be shipped as they become available, unless you inform us otherwise. You will only be charged for products contained in a given shipment, plus any applicable shipping charges. You will only be charged for shipping at the rate quoted to you on your purchase receipt. The entirety of this shipping charge may be applied to the first product(s) shipped on a multiple shipment order.

Order Acceptance Policy

Your receipt of an electronic or other form of order confirmation does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell. We reserve the right at any time after receipt of your order to accept or decline your order for any reason or to supply less than the quantity you ordered of any item.

Other Conditions

These Conditions will supersede any terms and/or conditions you include with any purchase order, regardless of whether signs them or not. We reserve the right to make changes to this site and these Conditions at any time.

Return Policy - Body Products

Because of the nature of our body products, we cannot accept returns on items that have had lids removed or seals broken. We will always do our best to rectify any issues you have with our body products, including replacing items.

Shipping Policy

Shipping Time -- We are closed for shipping on the weekends. Retail orders received Monday-Friday typically ship the next day, provided all items ordered are in stock. We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Consider any shipping or transit time offered to you by Sample Store or other parties only as an estimate. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

Taxes & Customs

Our Store shall automatically charge and withhold the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses in Colorado. For orders shipped to other states, you are solely responsible for all sales taxes or other taxes.

Typographical Errors

In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error or error in pricing information received from our suppliers, Our Store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for product listed at the incorrect price. Our Store shall have the right to refuse or cancel any such orders whether or not the order has been confirmed and your credit card charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, Our Store shall immediately issue a credit to your credit card account in the amount of the incorrect price.

  • Return for refund or replacement within: 15 days of the invoice date

  • This is our Standard Return Policy. All items on our site are covered by this policy with the exception of gift certificates. Items must be postmarked for return to CJ’s BUTTer within 15 days of the invoice date.

Overall Return Guidelines

These are CJ’s BUTTer’s (“CJ’s BUTTer”, “we” or “our”) Overall Return Guidelines applicable only to products purchased by you directly from the website. For questions regarding products produced by CJ’s BUTTer purchased elsewhere please contact us. All returns must meet the overall guidelines in order to be considered the return or replacement policy to apply. 

  • All products that are new with the retail packaging never opened can be returned to CJ’s BUTTer within 15 days of the invoice date to be reviewed for a refund or exchange.

  • All sales are final on gift certificates. These are not eligible for return or replacement.

Products received by CJ’s BUTTer in any of the following conditions are not eligible for return and may be rejected:

  • Any product that was not sold on the CJ’s BUTTer website

  • Any product that does not exhibit the described reason for the return (i.e., A return initiated for an unopened product that is found to have been used)

  • Any product with missing, damaged, altered, or otherwise unreadable labeling and or packaging.

  • Any product that is returned without all original packaging and all other items originally included with the product

    • Refund returns received in this condition may be rejected.

  • Any product that exhibits physical damage

    • If you received your product damaged, please see Report a shipping problem for guidelines and instructions on how to resolve this issue. This  would not be considered a return.

  • Any product which appears tampered, customized, or altered in any way

 Due to the consumable nature of our products, items that have been opened may not be returned unless the product is found to be defective. Please try scents in the mini sizes of the specific scent(s) you are considering before purchasing full size product. All of our products are available in Unscented.

Return Shipping

If you have received the wrong product, the product doesn't match what was shown on our site, we have made some other shipping error, or you have received a defective product there will be NO charge for a return label. To receive a prepaid return label at no charge please  contact us. Customers returning product due to any other reason (e.g. accidentally ordered the wrong product or scent) are responsible for all shipping costs incurred.


Refunds will be made either to the original form of payment or as store credit (once we have received the product(s) or if management determines an immediate refund is applicable). Alternately product replacement may be requested.


The option for replacement is dependent on the availability of the item.

Please note:

  • CJ’s BUTTer® items purchased as gifts are refunded as store credit only.

  • Non-returnable purchases include gift certificates, opened consumable items that are not defective (e.g., CJ’s BUTTer Shea Butter Balm, Spritz) and items that are user damaged.

Additional Return Information

Package Specials

Package Specials include two or more items that must be purchased together in order to receive a discount.

Items sold as part of a package may be returned individually for replacement in accordance with the return policy.

If an individual package item is returned for a refund, the applicable discount will be voided, and the discounted amount will be deducted from the amount of the refund. If your package discount amount is greater than the individual unit price of the item you wish to return, then the item cannot be returned for a refund; you will need to return all items in the package in order to receive a refund. 

- For example: if your package discount was $5, and you return one of the items for a refund, the $5 will be deducted from your refund amount.

Promotional Items / Gift Packs

We may offer free promotional items with our products. For example, a CJ’s BUTTer Tub may come with a free CJ’s BUTTer Lip Balm or a CJ’s BUTTer Carcass Cleaner may come with a free CJ’s BUTTer Mini. To receive a full refund on a purchase that offers promotional items all items must be returned. The cost of any promotional items not returned will be deducted from the refund total. To receive a full refund on the purchase of any Gift Pack, all items must be unopened and returned in their original packaging. The cost of any item not returned will be deducted from the refund total.
